Since May 2002, Enviro-septic manufacturing is made in a factory that have state-of-the-art technologies in the plastic industry.
The production line is almost entirely automated. The manufacturing process starts with the reheating of the plastic pellets and ends with the cutting of the pipes in three meters lengths. The following pictures show the main steps of the Advanced Enviro-Septic manufacturing.
In this step, the pellets are heated until the obtention of a plastic paste. This paste is then forced through a nozzle where it takes its cylindrical shape.
The molding on chain
The mold is made of several semicircles that surrounds the plastic cylinder. When the mold closes, the wall is sucked-up into the cavities to obtain the caracteristic profile of Enviro-Septic.
At the exit of the mold, the pipe is cooled down with water jets inside a cooling bath.
Once cooled, the pipe is perforated from the outside. The precise cut allows to create the skimmer notches inside the pipe.
The non-braided polypropylene fibers membrane, the Bio-accelerator and the exterior geotextile membrane are then sewn in position around the pipe.
An automated system cuts the pipes, covered with membranes, in lengths of 3 m (10 ‘). The Advanced Enviro-Septic pipe is then prepared for shipping.
