What is Enviro-septic?Description
The Enviro-Septic pipe is a patented product comprised of four components:
- A cylindrical pipe of high-density polyethylene. The walls of the pipes are corrugated to increase the surface area for heat-transfer. They are also perforated in order to let the effluent water flow out. Each vein (undulation of the wall) is topped with oblique notches which contribute to the proliferation of bacteria that is responsible for the treatment of wastewater;
- A bio-accelerator which allows a faster ramp-up time;
- A non-braided polypropylene fiber membrane that covers the pipe, facilitates the oxygen supply, and acts as a support structure for the biomass;
- A non-woven geo-textile fabric that is sewn around the fibrous membrane prevents soils particles from migrating into the pipe.
Each pipe has an external diameter of 30 cm (12”) and is 3 m (10’) long. The pipe capacity for residential use is 90 liters per day. Its maximum volume allows to receive up to 220 liters (48 gal) of wastewater. Each Advanced Enviro-septic pipe is clearly identified with the product name.
A coupling is a fitting that are used to join the Advanced Enviro-Septic pipes and create rows.
Offset Adapters are used to connect the PVC pipe to the Advanced Enviro-Septic pipes for both air and wastewater. An Offset Adapter must be installed at the end of each row. Offset Adaptors are available in single opening or double openings. Generally, a single offset adapter is used at the beginning of the row while the double offset adapter is installed at the opposite end where the piezometer and aeration pipes (connected to the vent) are located.
The Installation of our system does not require any special tools.
