This notice is for all septic installation designers and others using the Enviro-SepticMD technology to create secondary treatment systems (ST).
The process of research and development for the Enviro-SepticMD system is ongoing in order to increase efficiency and performance for the certification protocol.
The Enviro-SepticMD system can be used in the fields of commercial, institutional and community application, conforming to the design criteria set out in the TA-7 specification sheet available on the internet site of the Ministère du Développement Durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs.
For the isolated dwelling field of application, Enviro-SepticMD pipes, according to article 4.1 of the regulation Q-2, r.8, may be incorporated in the following treatment systems: the classic leaching bed, the modified leaching bed, the above ground sand filter, the classic sand filter and the polishing field following an advanced secondary treatment installation.
This Regulation stipulates that concerning the management of wastewater, priority must be given to solutions where the effluent is evacuated by infiltration in the soil rather than discharged to a waterway, following the previously mentioned hierarchy.
Thus the contexts for the use of the Enviro-SepticMD pipes remain numerous and advantageous compared to a conventional infiltration chamber from the perspective of environment protection.
